Take a Beather is a 4-Player minigame in Mario Party 4. Its name comes from the phrase "take a breather," which is a way to suggest taking a break from something.

Introduction

The minigame starts on a shot of the sun, then pans down to show the players on a dock.

Gameplay

The goal of the minigame is to take a deep breath and stay underwater the longest. The players are given five seconds to breathe in air by using the L Button and R Button buttons. After the time is up, the players go underwater. The character that holds their breath underwater for the longest amount of time wins. If one of the characters holds their breath for seven seconds, a Boo plate is added to the Present Room. If no one holds their breath for long, the minigame ends in a tie.

Controls

  • L Button R Button – Press alternately to inhale

In-game text
