Template:MKTTour The Los Angeles Tour was the twenty-seventh tour of Mario Kart Tour, which began on September 23, 2020 and ended on October 6, 2020. True to its name, the tour introduced a new course named after Los Angeles, California, aptly named Los Angeles Laps, marking the first instance of a tour taking place in the same country as a previous tour (the New York Tour; both cities are in the United States), and the sixth city-based course overall (with the last one being Vancouver Velocity in the Vancouver Tour, seven and a half months prior). However, the course itself takes place in Santa Monica as indicated by the Santa Monica Pier and the course flags welcoming players to Santa Monica.
This tour took place during the game's first anniversary, although the game did not commemorate it until the next tour, the 1st Anniversary Tour.[1] It also introduced a new variant of Mario based on his Sunshine outfit from Super Mario Sunshine and Super Mario Odyssey. This tour also featured the first new R/T course since SNES Vanilla Lake 1R/T and GBA Bowser's Castle 2R/T in the 2020 Trick Tour eleven tours prior, being Los Angeles Laps R/T. The menu's background featured the Santa Monica Pier as the landmark for this tour.

Trivia
- In the Wendy Cup, RMX Rainbow Road 1 depicted Rosalina in its icon, even though it is only treated as a favored course.
- The Los Angeles Tour was the second tour to host a Vs. Mega (opponent) race on a variation of a course, namely Los Angeles Laps R/T. The first tour to do this was the 2020 Trick Tour, which took place on SNES Mario Circuit 3T.
- Coincidentally, both races had Bowser as the Mega opponent.
