Template:MKTTour The Kamek Tour is the fifty-first tour in Mario Kart Tour, which began on August 25, 2021 and will end on September 7, 2021. As the tour's name indicates, Kamek is introduced as a playable driver after being previously cut from both Mario Kart 64 and Mario Kart 8, making this the first tour to introduce a completely new driver to the series since the introduction of King Bob-omb in the Pirate Tour. Like the previous tour, this tour introduces a new remix course, this time based on the Ghost Valley tracks from Super Mario Kart, named RMX Ghost Valley 1. This is the eighth tour to be named directly after a character, the previous one being the 2021 Yoshi Tour. The special Bowser's Minions Pipe from the previously mentioned Pirate Tour returns in this tour, with more High-End drivers: Lakitu (Party Time), King Boo (Gold), and Gold Koopa (Freerunning).

In this tour, the title screen image was changed to an image representing Team Peach's victory against Team Mario in the Mario vs. Peach Tour.

This tour's Coin Rush course is GBA Bowser's Castle 2, which makes this tour the second non-city tour in a row to not reuse a Coin Rush course. The menu's background features mountains and clouds from the Ghost Valley courses as the landmark of this tour.

Starting from this tour, the Black Turbo Birdo is available in all regular tour pipes, including the All-Clear Pipe.

Today's Challenge

Players' karts, gliders and opponents are chosen or arranged randomly. On day 1 of this tour, players finish a race in SNES Choco Island 2R in the Ice Mario Cup using Bowser Jr. for a free pipe launch. Starting from day 2, players have to finish a race in the earliest uncleared course that is not in any of the ranked cups using the driver shown on the course's thumbnail every day to obtain the corresponding reward in the table below.

Trivia

This is the first tour to not contain any 3DS courses.
- It is also the first tour to feature a cup with only RMX courses, in this case, the Mario Cup and its bonus challenge.
  - This is the first, and currently, the only tour to have a feature character that makes their 2nd playable appearance in this game, Kamek's case, Mario Tennis Aces.
  - Coincidentally, this also applies to Pauline as she also was playable in Mario Tennis Aces (1st playable appearance) before this game (2nd playable appearance.). Both also have a significant impact on Mario's life and appear at different points of time, Pauline being Mario's first love interest in Donkey Kong (game) when he was a carpenter rather than a plumber and Kamek having attempted to kidnap Mario as a baby in Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island.
