A Bristles is an orange hedgehog enemy appearing in Donkey Kong Country 3: Dixie Kong's Double Trouble! and Donkey Kong Land III. It has spiky quills that injure Dixie and Kiddy Kong when touched. As such, they are considered Spinies from Donkey Kong Country 2: Diddy's Kong Quest. According to Dixie Kong's Photo Album, Bristles are categorized under the "Terrorfirma Tuff Guys" enemy class.

Summary

To directly a Bristles, Dixie or Kiddy must roll into it from the front, otherwise the Kongs get hurt from touching it. Unlike Spinies, Bristles are also invulnerable to Team-Up throws, and performing the move injures the Kong thrown.
