Template:Kart-infobox The DK Jumbo is Donkey Kong's kart in Mario Kart: Double Dash!!. It has Donkey Kong's trademark 'DK' on the front. It is made out of a huge barrel.

History

Mario Kart: Double Dash!!

The DK Jumbo is a default heavyweight kart. According to the in-game stats, when compared to the Wario Car, the DK Jumbo is slightly heavier, enabling it to easily push the Wario Car (along with the Turbo Birdo and Parade Kart) around. However, the DK Jumbo can still be pushed around by the Koopa King, Piranha Pipes and the Boo Pipes, all of which are tied for being the heaviest karts in the game. The DK Jumbo shares its engine sound with the Koopa King, Barrel Train, and Parade Kart.

In terms of its actual stats, the DK Jumbo shares its top speed with the Barrel Train, Bullet Blaster, and Piranha Pipes. It's also tied with the Piranha Pipes for having the worst acceleration of all the two star acceleration karts. The kart's width is average compared to the other heavyweight karts, being thinner than the Parade Kart and the Koopa King, but wider than the Piranha Pipes, Boo Pipes, and the Wario Car. On a side note, the DK Jumbo offers the second weakest off-road of all karts.

Mario Kart Tour

The DK Jumbo returns in Mario Kart Tour, where is it classified as a Super kart. Jump Boosts yield more points when using this kart. It uses the Wood tires from Mario Kart 7. It also lacks the second handlebar and the original "DK" insignia is replaced by the character's emblem. The game also introduces a white variant, named the Chrome DK Jumbo, which is also classified as a Super kart.

Trivia

  • In Mario Kart 7, the Wood tires have a similar appearance to the tires of the DK Jumbo. However, unlike the DK Jumbo, they actually boost acceleration but hinder top speed.
  • A similar vehicle called the Barrel Roller appears as the starter vehicle in Mario Party 9 for the board DK's Jungle Ruins.
