Not to be confused with Loopdeeloop Galaxy.

The Loopdeeswoop Galaxy is a galaxy in Super Mario Galaxy. It is one of the three Trial Galaxies. This galaxy is extremely similar to the Loopdeeloop Galaxy, though it is much more challenging and complicated due to the narrow water ways and the hard turns. It contains many 1-Up Mushrooms because of its difficulty. There are also spots with intense speed such as the loop and the steep dives.

Planets/Areas

NOTE: Unless otherwise noted, all names are unofficial.

Starting Planet

This planet is a small terrace planet with three penguins that give helpful advice. It is made of stone and sand and is paired with another terrace planet and the prize planet.

The Loopdeeswoop Planet

This is a very large watery racetrack for Manta Ray surfing. It contains fish, large hoops, flags, and a large golden hoop that serves as a finish and starting line. This hoop greatly resembles a Shine Sprite from Super Mario Sunshine. The course starts out narrow and then takes two sharp turns. At the yellow hoops, it goes down one large slope and two smaller slopes. Then at the red hoops, it takes a curve upwards that gets very narrow. At the blue hoops, it stays narrow and then does a loopdeeloop. After that, it goes down a very large slope and then takes a tight curve to the finish line.

Terrace Planets

The Terrace Planets are numerous small stone platforms floating in the air around the Loopdeeloop Planet. They are accessible only after Mario has completed the "The Galaxy's Greatest Wave" mission, after which a series of Sling Stars will appear on them, leading to ? coins, which spawn Star Bits that the player collects while flying. These planets are covered in Penguins who cheer the player on from the sidelines. They look exactly like the prize planet.

Prize Planet

The Prize Planet is a large stone planet paired with a terrace planet and the starting planet. On one side of the planet there is a podium with three different levels labeled 1, 2 and 3. Under the number 1 on the tallest step, a carving of a Manta Ray (possibly Ray himself) shows that whoever stands on this position won the race.

Off to the other side of the planet, Coach stands and congratulates Mario on achieving victory and then releases a Power Star which settles on top of the center of the podium.

Missions

This galaxy contains only the following mission.
