Template:Galaxybox The Sling Pod Galaxy is a galaxy in Super Mario Galaxy. It can be accessed by feeding the Hungry Luma that appears outside of the Fountain. This galaxy doesn't have any large planets and is almost completely made up of Sling Pods and obstacles. Mario must climb onto one of the Sling Pods, then launch himself in the direction of the next pod. The obstacles are floating mines that will hurt Mario if he hits them, or cause him to fall into a Black Hole. This galaxy can only be traversed by utilizing the Sling Pods and Pull Stars. In this stage, Mario can easily die from colliding into a mine or being flung in the wrong direction. However, Mario can collect many Star Bits to replenish any lost lives. It is the easiest way to get 9999 star bits quickly due to the big amount of star bits in the level.
Planets/Areas
- Mario can choose the path he will start from, so there is no Starting Area.

Mission
A Very Sticky Situation
This galaxy starts on a small platform with a sling pod. Mario must go into the sling pod and then use it to go through the area, avoiding the cannons and firing from sling pod to sling pod. In this level, a Player 2 would be a very useful addition to stop the cannons from blasting. After that there will be a pull star area full of mines, Mario must navigate through the area by holding the A button until he has reached the pull star instead of just pressing it. Finally there will be another sling pod area with firebars. Mario must blast through with the right timing to avoid the firebars and get to the next sling pod. At the end, he must blast through a circle of rotating platforms with perfect accuracy to hit the Power Star.
