A Battle Beetle is a hopping stag beetle in the Tree Zone and Macro Zone found in Super Mario Land 2: 6 Golden Coins. Battle Beetles attack by jumping in the air and slowly coming down (a sprite of one gliding down is to the left), in a similar pattern to Fighter Flies. Mario can avoid this by running under the Battle Beetle at the peak of its jump. A simple jump on the head or a fireball attack are enough to finish it off. Battle Beetles look much like generic hercules-beetles, but are roughly Mario's size. Template:BoxTop
