Appearance

Major Burrows simply resembles a large, brown [[Undergrunt]. He wears a blue Spiny Shell as a helmet. He's also shown to have light blue eyes that are often times dilated when his expression changes, long white eyebrows similar to Bowser's, and large rounded cheeks. When angry, Major Burrows's blue helmet turns red, and his eyes are golden yellow with no visible eyeballs.

Combat

This battle practices ground pounding and spinning. Major Burrows appears in the Gusty Garden Galaxy's level "The Dirty Tricks of Major Burrows" where he is chasing a Star Rabbit around a large tree. At the start of the boss battle, Major Burrows ignores Mario and continues pursuing the helpless Star Bunny. Mario must Ground Pound somewhere near him, when Major Burrows pops up half way out of the ground to stun him. While stunned, Mario must then Star Spin Major Burrows, causing the major to lose a life. Major Burrows will then turn his attention towards Mario and start chasing him, instead of the Star Bunny. Mario must do the same thing again two more times. However, after Mario preforms a ground pound, Major Burrows will run away once he's been stunned, forcing Mario to chase after him. For the final time, Major Burrows will turn red out of frustration and chase Mario at a faster speed. If Major Burrows is stunned, he will retreat back underground and come back fully restored, furiously charging at Mario. Mario will have to do another ground pound, which will cause Major Burrows to run away just like he did the second time. After a final star spin, he'll be defeated and will release a Power Star.

The player faces Major Burrows again, with the second fight being part of the Daredevil Comet run. The battle is the exact same thing, except the player only has one life, instead of three or six.
