Tatenoko[1] is an obstacle in Super Mario Land 2: 6 Golden Coins. These saw-like objects are encountered in the first stage of the Mario Zone only. Their attack pattern consists of moving around on a set path horizontally, harming Mario on contact. A Tatenoko can be defeated from a Koopa Shell or while invincible.

Throw the Koopa shells.

The saw character moves violently in a zigzag pattern, blocking Mario's way. Since it cannot be defeated even if it is blocked by a saw, try to avoid it or hit it with a shell to clear the way.
