Variant of | Strollin' Stu |
A Smolderin' Stu,[1] also known as a Flaming Goomba,[2] Moe Kuri,[3] and Moe Kauri,[4] is a type of Strollin' Stu that appears in Super Mario Sunshine. It is distinct from a Strollin' Stu due to its ability to be covered in flames yet be apparently unharmed. Mario catches fire if he touches a Smolderin' Stu. If the flames are removed, its bright red skin becomes a dark charred brown. Smolderin' Stus can easily be defeated by a well-aimed squirt of water from FLUDD. Smolderin' Stus are very rare, appearing only at Pinna Park in the mission Mecha-Bowser Appears! and Sirena Beach in the mission King Boo Down Below. In the latter mission, both Smolderin' Stus and the common Strollin' Stus appear in the King Boo boss fight.
Smolderin' Stu's name is also seen as one of the default high scores in Mario Golf: Toadstool Tour and Mario Golf: Advance Tour.
