Blue screws[1] are spinnable objects in Super Mario Galaxy. They are embedded into the terrain of industrialized galaxies, such as the Battlerock Galaxy and Buoy Base Galaxy. Performing a spin while on top of a blue screw embeds it into the ground and triggers a nearby event. In Buoy Base Galaxy, a yellow screw appears in the top of a Ball Beamer that disengages it when spun. Blue screws are very similar to valves.
