Render of a blue screw in Super Mario Galaxy.
Model from Super Mario Galaxy
First appearance Super Mario Galaxy (2007)
Latest appearance Super Mario 3D All-Stars (2020)

Blue screws[1] are spinnable objects in Super Mario Galaxy. They are embedded into the terrain of industrialized galaxies, such as Battlerock Galaxy and Buoy Base Galaxy. Performing a spin while on top of a screw embeds it into the ground and triggers a nearby event. They are very similar to valves.
