The Holiday Tour is the eighty-fifth tour of Mario Kart Tour, which began on December 14, 2022 and ends on December 27, 2022. It sees the return of Snow Land from Mario Kart: Super Circuit as a classic course as well as the addition of Wii DK Summit R/T, complementing the winter theme of the tour. Merry Mountain and all three routes of Vancouver Velocity also return, with the former coinciding with the course's inclusion in Wave 3 of the Booster Course Pass DLC for Mario Kart 8 Deluxe. In addition, all courses in this tour (with the exception of the battle courses, GBA Battle Course 1 and DS Twilight House) are snow- and/or ice-themed. The tour introduces a winter variant of Larry as a new driver, the first driver variant for a Koopaling.
A two-tour Holiday Celebration began in this tour and runs until the end of the next tour.
This tour brought back the Take them out quick! bonus challenge from the 2020 Winter Tour, making this the first instance of a Take them out quick! bonus challenge being reused.
This tour's Coin Rush course is Merry Mountain, which is reused from the 2021 Cat Tour and the 2021 Holiday Tour. The menu's background features the present tower from Merry Mountain as the landmark for this tour, which is reused from the 2020 Winter Tour and the 2021 Holiday Tour.
The eleventh set of Expert Challenges, which was made available in the Battle Tour, lasts until the end of this tour.

Today's Challenge
Players' most recently used kart and glider are chosen, and favorite and favored ones have extra priority. Opponents are arranged randomly. On day 1 of this tour, players finish a race in DS DK Pass in the Mii Cup using the Santa Mii Racing Suit for a free pipe launch. Starting from day 2, players have to finish a race in the earliest incomplete course that is not in any of the ranked cups using the driver shown on the course's thumbnail every day to obtain the corresponding reward in the table below. Once all of the courses are completed, the courses are selected at random.
