A spiked ball[1][2] is a flashing obstacle in Super Mario Land 2: 6 Golden Coins. It first and frequently appears in the Pumpkin Zone's first stage and later appears in its final stage. It is attached to a chain and moves up and down every couple of seconds, usually in corridors which must be traversed to complete the level. It hurts the player if they touch it.
