World 4 is the fourth world contained in Super Mario 3D Land. This world takes place in a lime-green grassland with mushrooms of varying sizes bouncing up and down in the background. World 4 contains six levels and a Mystery Box. It is also the first encounter with Pom Pom, the boss of this World.

World 4-3 | This course takes place in the sky, with colored spinning blocks and checkered grass platforms. Requires 30 Star Medals to be unlocked. | |
World 4-4 | The first Ghost House in the game, with platforms that suddenly appear when Mario moves towards them. | |
World 4-5 | A stage with a heavy emphasis on Flip Panels. | |
World 4-Airship | An Airship course with Red-Blue Panels. The boss is Pom Pom. |
Mystery Box
The two possible contents of this world's Mystery Box are:
- Two Tail Goombas and a Piranha Plant. Defeating the enemies causes 15 Coins and a Star Medal to appear.
- Ten Crates, four of which contain 1-Up Mushrooms, two ? Blocks containing a Super Leaf and a Fire Flower respectively, and two Star Medals.
