Statue Leaf, found in Special 1-1

Statue Leaves are items only found in Super Mario 3D Land. When Mario grabs a Statue Leaf, he becomes his Tanooki form, and when Luigi grabs the Statue Leaf, he becomes his Kistune form. Both wear a scarf of his corresponding color, and regain the ability to transform into a statue instead of doing a Ground Pound, thus avoiding enemies (which cannot damage them) and hazards. This makes it similar to the Tanooki Suit from Super Mario Bros. 3, but without the ability to fly or transform on the ground.

This power-up first appears in Special 1-1, replacing the Super Leaf in the Special Worlds' levels thereafter. Deluxe StreetPass Gifts also hold these items.
