Template:MKTTour The Ice Tour was the ninth tour of Mario Kart Tour that began on January 15, 2020 and ended on January 28, 2020. Reflecting its ice theme, Penguin Luigi and Peach in her winter outfit from Super Mario Odyssey are introduced as the spotlight drivers, while Frappe Snowland and Vanilla Lake 1 are introduced as new courses, marking the first appearance of a Vanilla Lake course since Mario Kart: Super Circuit. Starting with this tour, karts and gliders are no longer eligible for cup bonuses that previously moved them up a tier on certain cups.

In every cup, the driver which the cup is themed about is raised a tier on each track, making them a three- or two-item driver on that course. Up until this tour, a kart and a glider were also given a bonus for each race in the cup.
