Template:DDKart-infobox The Turbo Birdo is a kart from the Mario Kart series. It has the front made into the shape of Birdo's face and is a counterpart to the Turbo Yoshi.
History
Mario Kart series
Mario Kart: Double Dash!!
The Turbo Birdo first appears in Mario Kart: Double Dash!! as Birdo's kart. It can be unlocked by completing the Flower Cup in 150cc. It is the heaviest middleweight karts in the game and has average speed, acceleration, and steering capabilities.
In terms of actual stats, the Turbo Birdo has the same top speed as the Bloom Coach, but is tied with the Red Fire, Bullet Blaster, and Parade Kart for the weakest acceleration of all the three star acceleration karts. It is one of the four karts to have stats "out of the ordinary" for its weight class, with the others being the Green Fire, the Boo Pipes, and the Barrel Train.
The Turbo Birdo, Turbo Yoshi, Toad Kart, and Toadette Kart all share the same engine sound.
Mario Kart Tour
The Turbo Birdo returns in Mario Kart Tour alongside Birdo as part of the Holiday Tour, where it is classified as a Super kart. Similar to the Turbo Yoshi, it only has one handlebar rather than two as in its original appearance and the back of the kart curls up to resemble Birdo’s tail. Boosting from Mini-Turbos lasts longer and yields more points while using this kart. It uses the Turbo Yoshi's tires.
Super Smash Bros. Brawl
In Super Smash Bros. Brawl, the Turbo Birdo appears as a sticker. In The Subspace Emissary, it can be used by any fighter to increase their weapon attack power by 15 points.
Statistics
It has been requested that this section be rewritten and expanded to include more information. Reason: include the kart's stats from Mario Kart: Double Dash!!
