Donkey Kong Land

Mincers are spiky, spinning, floating tires appearing in Donkey Kong Country and Donkey Kong Land. They act in a very similar manner to Zingers, but are completely invincible to all attack methods (including Animal Friend attacks). Because of this behavior, Donkey Kong and Diddy Kong must avoid Mincers to keep themselves from losing a life. Mincers appear in a few levels, like "Torchlight Trouble" and "Poison Pond." They can appear in the air and in the water. The stage "Manic Mincers" prominently features them. It may move back and forth to attack the Kongs with its spikes, or even spin around in the air.

In Donkey Kong Land, they have the same role as they did in Donkey Kong Country. The level Spiky Tyre Trail also prominently features them. They usually appear in Bonus Levels, such as in Deck Trek and Button Barrel Blast.
