Template:Missionbox Faster Than a Speeding Penguin is the second mission of the Sea Slide Galaxy in Super Mario Galaxy. The mission's objective is to race Penguins. The name of this mission comes from a portion of Superman's phrase, "faster than a speeding bullet".
Layout
Four penguins are lined up and ready to start racing when the player lands in galaxy. Talking to the red penguin will have him ask if the player wants to join, and accepting the offer will start the race. The player will be unable to catch up to any of the penguins at first, so the player should grab a Red Shell or spin repeatedly to help them swim and stay in the race. The race will take the player through same course and obstacles Guppy took them through in the previous mission, except it is longer and there are additional Boost Rings placed throughout the course that will give the player a boost of speed when swam through. After going through one lap around the course and passing through the starting line in first place will have the red penguin reward the player with a Power Star, though losing in second place or lower will have the player lose a life and start the race over (or getting a game over if no lives are left).
