Template:Location-infobox The Space Zone is one of the six main locations in Super Mario Land 2: 6 Golden Coins. The Space Zone can only be accessed by taking the top exit in the Hippo Zone's single level, which can be reached by using a Bubble. In this zone, Mario dons a space suit and explores the Moon and surrounding stars. Here, Mario is subject to reduced gravity fields, increasing his jump height but decreasing his speed and traction. The golden coin of the Space Zone is guarded by a variety of space monsters, including Spiked Space Slugs, Mini Ships, and Star Twirlers, all led by Tatanga, the boss of level 6-2 (though Cannon Pigs also appear).
