A Tail Goomba is a Goomba with a Tanooki tail. Its powers were given by Bowser with his Super Leaves. It attacks by swinging its tail like Tanooki Mario.
History
Super Mario 3D Land
Tail Goombas make their first appearance in Super Mario 3D Land, where they attack like Raccoon Mario. They are defeated like normal Goombas. There are also golden and giant varieties. They appear to be able to fly like Tanooki Mario. There is a special one disguised as Bowser.

- Tail Goombas seem to resemble the Tanoombas from Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga and Mario & Luigi: Partners in Time.
