Squeeklies are bat creatures that inhabit in Donkey Kong Island and appear in the game Donkey Kong Country Returns. Squeeklies are one of the most common enemies (aside Tikis) that  appear in various levels. For Donkey Kong and Diddy Kong squeeklies are just an obstacle, as they appear flying straight forth. The Kongs can defeat a Squeekly jumping over it or throwing an object like a barrel at it. They make a prominent appearance in the Crowded Cavern level of the cave. The level features the Squeekly Family , a big group of bats of various sizes that show many types of attacks. The family has some small Squeeklies that attack in the front, medium size bats that attack by flying up or down when feel their victims incoming and a large one that chases the Kongs throughout the level, able to emit powerful sonic waves from its mouth to hurt the primates. Unlike the Squeeklies that appear in other levels, these Squeeklies cannot be defeated in any way, although the large Squeeklie shows problems avoiding large walls during the chase that eventually is knocked down at the end of the level.

A Squeekly (pluralized as Squeeklys[1] or Squeeklies[2]) is an enemy in Donkey Kong Country Returns and its port. They are encountered in some levels of the Cave and the Forest, and other dark levels. These purple bat-like creatures attack by flying straight forward, and can be defeated from either being jumped on, small peanuts, or an object such as a barrel thrown at it. Some Squeeklys fly higher than others and are more difficult to attack. Squeeklys appear prominently in Crowded Cavern, alongside Chū Komorin and a Big Squeekly. There is a specific formation where some small Squeeklys attack from the front, Chū Komorin that attack by flying up or down when they feel the Kongs approaching, and a Big Squeekly that chases them throughout the level, able to emit powerful sonic waves from its mouth to damage them. The smallest Squeeklys often appear in large groups. The Squeeklys cannot be defeated in any way, unlike with other levels.
