Special 3 is the third special world in Super Mario 3D Land, and the eleventh world overall. It is unlocked by completing Special 2-Airship. The world takes place in a dark blue, flowery field at night with an aurora and several plateaus and hills faintly visible in the background. This world contains six levels and a Mystery Box. Its theme is an arrangement of the game's World 3 map music. The world is one of the few that lacks a boss at the end. Alongside Special 2, Special 3 lacks any Cosmic Clone levels.
