The Space Tour was the fifty-seventh tour of Mario Kart Tour, which began on November 17, 2021, and ended on November 30, 2021.^[1] Being themed around outer space, the tour introduced a variant of Mario in his Satellaview-themed helmet and suit from Super Mario Odyssey as a playable character, while also adding in other space-themed items like the Lunar Cruiser and the Meteor Balloons. The featured course for this tour was 3DS Rainbow Road. Although this was the second tour in a row to not introduce a new course, it made the debut of the R/T variants of RMX Rainbow Road 2 (which was first teased in a screenshot for the Gold Pipe in the 2021 Paris Tour) and 3DS Rosalina's Ice World. This was the fifth tour to feature the 2-Player Challenge. The Ice Bro Cup debuted in this tour (the first new cup since the Kamek Tour six tours prior), despite Ice Bro having been available since the Hammer Bro Tour.

This tour's Coin Rush course was N64 Royal Raceway, which was reused from the Peach Tour and 2021 Yoshi Tour, making this the first instance of a Coin Rush course being used in more than two post-release tours. The menu's background featured the moon from 3DS Rainbow Road as the landmark for this tour.

Starting from this tour, the Sunset Balloons glider is available in regular tour pipes, including the All-Clear Pipe.

Today's Challenge[edit]

Players' most recently used kart and glider are chosen, and favourite and favored ones have extra priority. Opponents are arranged randomly. On day 1 of this tour, players finish a race in N64 Royal Raceway T in the Daisy Cup using Pink Gold Peach for a free pipe launch. Starting from day 2, players have to finish a race in the earliest incomplete course that is not in any of the ranked cups using the driver shown on the course's thumbnail every day to obtain the corresponding reward in the table below. Once all of the courses are completed, the courses are selected at random.
