The Wild West Tour was the twenty-third tour of Mario Kart Tour, which began on July 29, 2020 and ended on August 11, 2020. Due to its theme around the Wild West, the tour introduced a cowboy variant of Wario, while also adding in the Cact-X from Mario Kart 7, with N64 Kalimari Desert 2 acting as the signature course. The tour also marked Nabbit's playable debut in the Mario Kart series. The menu's background featured the mountainous train tunnel from Kalimari Desert 2 as the landmark for this tour.
Starting with this tour, the last two free pipe launches are reserved for the second week's spotlight pipe, instead of all pipe launches used for the first week's spotlight pipe. After clearing every cup within a tour, an ending movie plays with several results from the player's gameplay showing. After the movie, the player is rewarded with an All-Clear Pipe that, while similar to previous free pipe launches, only fires a High-End character, kart, or glider at random. Additionally, it also introduced a limited-time event for the second half, where players can collect event tokens throughout all available courses within the tour for items in its Event Shop. Support for the All-Cup Ranking, previously displayed in the game's official site, is fully integrated into the game where badges can be obtained for the player's ranking. When the player is placed either in the Top 10, Top 100 or Top 1000, a badge is later sent to the gift box in the next tour.
Starting from this tour, Monty Mole is available in regular tour pipes.
This tour also marks King Bob-omb's debut in Mario Kart Tour in the Vs. Mega King Bob-omb bonus challenge. He was later added as a playable character in the following tour, the Pirate Tour, marking his first playable appearance.
