Tattle: He's one of Bowser's main guys. I don't know how he managed to take over this palace, but... He'll attack you by summoning and launching Crystal Bits. The power of each attack is 4. The number of times he attacks equals the number of Crystal Bits he's deployed. He'll also try to freeze you whenever he can. When his HP is low, he may try to divide and conquer. Crystal Bits are pieces of the Crystal King, a boss in Paper Mario. There are three aesthetic variants of Crystal Bits: a cube, an octahedron, and a sphere. They assist him in the Crystal King's battle with Mario. Due to having lower HP than any other enemy in the game, along with Tuff Puffs and Petit Piranhas, they can be destroyed quickly with a multi-hitting attack, such as the Multibounce, Lakilester's Spiny Surge, or a Fire Flower. The Crystal King can summon them infinitely throughout the battle, using up his turn in the process, although he will stop summoning them once his HP drops below 35. If, however, the player manages to defeat the Crystal King in one fell swoop while his HP remains above 35, the Crystal Bits will automatically be defeated as well.

The Crystal Bits both resemble and serve a similar purpose as the Fire Crystal, Water Crystal, Earth Crystal, and Wind Crystal do to Culex in Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars.
