Some green Chomps

Green Chomps[1] are enemies in Donkey Kong Country Returns and its port. They are a green variant of Chomp, and are first encountered the level Longshot Launch, along with the other Chomps. Green Chomps constantly open and close their mouths. By opening their mouth, this reveals their tongue which is shaped like a mushroom. A green Chomp's tongue can be jumped onto safely, but it closes its mouth immediately if the Kongs attempt this, damaging them. If the Kongs jump on it but land on the inside of its mouth instead of the tongue, they will be eaten by it and have to shake the controller (press X Button or Y Button repeatedly in the port) to force it to spit them out. If the Kongs fail to do so fast enough or in a certain amount of time, the green Chomp will forcefully launch them into the air and the Kongs will lose a heart.
