Why did you (Mario jc (talk)) revert what I wrote?

I put the citation needed “thing” in the Mario and Luigi's family page section GPoppy and you “unwrote” it. You told me that “grandpappy” and “grandpop” means “grandfather” and I know that, but in the picture it said ”GPoppy” and not “grandpoppy”. And even if it meant that, it could be someone else’s grandpa.

I would like to ask permission for something

I would like to ask permission to create a new category about the Mario family. I would put all the Mario family members (by the way, do Stanley and Wario and Waluigi count? They are Mario's cousins in the fandom wiki) in a category named "Mario family" or "Mario and Luigi's family" or something like that. Drip Drop Trivia Section

Hiya! I'm a little new to editing stuff here. Last night I made an edit to the Trivia section of the Drip Drop Galaxy page by commenting on the reuse of its model in good egg galaxy. this morning I saw that not only was my content in the trivia section deleted but the other stuff was too. I noticed that your profile says you auto scan things but just in case this was deliberate can you tell me why this was deleted and if so how I can avoid adding unwanted information in the future? Issued reminder for Mario Party Jamboree Character Icosns

Hello! I recently uploaded some of the Mario Party Jamboree character icons and they were removed by you for being “blurry and upscaled.” While I appreciate your efforts to provide the most quality screenshots of the character icons, I can assure you I did not upscale the icons. I did however, remove the background of the icons, and place a white square in the background of the icons, to remove any of the excess teal background, and to make the icons look much cleaner. The white square in the background is unnoticeable and I think works as placeholders for the icons until the game is released. I’m sorry again if I come off as rude. I am a beginner for contributing on the wiki and just want to provide the best information I possibly can. Thanks so much!

Mario Party Tracks

Hey there, noted. However, the tracks for 'Puzzle Hustle', 'Banana, Split', and 'Senseless Census' are official and are in the sound test of the game. As for 'Dust Buddies', that one was already on the page even though it's not an official title or in the sound test, but it is a variation of 'Iced Out', which IS in the sound test. I will redo my edits for the former three but 'Dust Buddies' is up to you if you think it's valid or not (and if not, the track section should be removed altogether not just my edit).

Help with the template.

So, I have been doing another run of RPGs, this time finding every item found on field and given by NPCs (per suggestion by the user Zootalo). I have completed SMRPG (original and remake) and added everything to my sandbox. After a discussion with Nightwicked Bowser, we came to the conclusion to edit the template Template:RPG item locations to include screenshots of the exact locations of the items. Problem is I don't know how to change the template properly so it won't break and it will show up on different pages differently.

For example: On Mario Bros. House page, in the Paper Mario section is the one item - Autograph and PM doesnt have remake (yet), so the table created by the template would gain one section named Screenshot. BUT On let's say the page Stardust Fields, the table with items would get two sections - Screenshot and Screenshot (Remake).

Typo on MarioWiki:Japanese

In the section MarioWiki:Japanese#ん and ン, the romanized words nihon and anna should be capitalized as they are proper nouns. Re:Referencing

I have been citing my sources. Including the subject-specific pages, I made that page as well. If you want all of the boots, hammer, wear, and gloves each has a source, I will add them.

All the "citation needed" stuff I have added is only for descriptions as the exact wording is less important until the game comes out. All of them are things we know for sure what they do because we saw them in action in videos or mentioned in articles from hands on reviews (from sources I have cited). I added them so people don't have to infer what they do just from the name or combo alone, they have no context of all the hands on reviews or even different language Overview Trailer I have seen because most people don't check for sources. In fact, I tried to mimic the wording used by the ones we have seen so if there were mistakes, the wording wouldn't be completely different, I got Auto Syrup Jar's description spot on and immediately added the source to it at the same time. Another reason I did it is because mimicing the wording may cause people not to notice it is wrong immediately even after the game comes out. If I couldn't edit then, as the descriptions are a lower priority than gameplay, story, and maybe even images because the effort is just copying the text from items and tooltips, who would know to correct them without the tag pointing out they may not be completely accurate? But I get it, it is "speculation" after all, as long as it is not completely accurate, there is no point in informing wiki users of at least the basics of the facts. I am sorry I have overused citation needed for those purposes.

The Spanish Challenge section would probably have "You need X more" text for the "Coordinated Jump/Hammer Ace" at some point, but they are already completed in the source video so it doesn't show. That's the only part that is "speculation" as other Challenges all use that wording except the "X damage in one attack" ones, yet you removed the whole thing including the word-for-word text in Spanish which is taken directly from the source and the translation. Have you checked the source before removing them?

I am sorry I added the width to the name of the Red/Green Shell Ace, I was copying and pasting <br/> between all the Spanish and translation and didn't check I have the wrong thing in the clipboard as I was experimenting with the look of the table. And for the red link image, you have seen I didn't add all the red link images I could because I thought the source had obtained those badges but they didn't, so I didn't comment those two. I will remove/make them hidden them next time.

The only thing I disagree with is 1-Up DX removal, I have seen it worded like it somewhere before and it is changed from the other games where it is 1-Up Deluxe but I couldn't find it. Guess asking other wiki contributors for help to find a citation is not enough, now we need to have a justification for "citation needed" itself before it can be used. By the way, here is the source I already added to the page, and one just for you with a timestamp as well, thanks for the motivation.

Big Yarn Ball as a disambiguation

I think both Big Yarn Ball (location) and Big yarn ball should be considered equal. Yes, the player will interact more with the latter and it is overall the more important of the two, but the former is important to the game's story. I'm going to slightly contest the item being more likely to be searched. The name of the item is not in the game, only being featured in the instruction manual. People usually don't read those, and if they aren't aware of a name they might just put in yarn ball and look for the variant. (I suppose the counterargument is that "big yarn ball" is a very natural name.) The location's name is in the game, at least on 3DS, and a location on a "not actually a World Map" that can be selected to no effect is very suspicious. Also, the Big Yarn Ball is significant enough to go in a plot summary. I guess you could say "Two Yoshis hide from Kamek's spell..." but at that point the sentence might as well conclude with "...in the Big Yarn Ball". It would be weird and incomplete to leave it out. I also appreciate how knowledgeable you are when it comes to pretty much everything Mario-related! I know a lot about the franchise but you know much more than me!
