Rumble Fishing is a Battle minigame in Mario Party 4. Its name is a pun on the title of the book Rumble Fish by S. E. Hinton.

Introduction[edit]

The camera shows a shot of the sun before tilting down to the four players on a dock, backs turned and holding fishing poles.

Gameplay[edit]

Each player has a fishing line. When the players each feel a bite (indicated by the Rumble Feature, hence the name), they must press the A Button button to reel in a Cheep Cheep. If the Rumble Feature is turned off, an exclamation mark is shown onscreen instead. The player who presses A Button the fastest reels in the biggest Cheep Cheep and wins the minigame. If everyone presses A Button too early or no one presses it within a certain time limit, the minigame ends in a tie.

Ending[edit]

The players turn towards the camera, and the winner performs their victory animation while the losers perform their losing animations. If a tie occurs, everyone performs their losing animation.
