A Swipin' Stu,[1][2] also known as a Flying Goomba,[3] Doro Kuri,[4] and Kuri,[5] is an enemy in Super Mario Sunshine. It is a green variety of Winged Strollin' Stu. Swipin' Stus are larger than the blue Winged Strollin' Stus. The green pattern wraps around the Swipin' Stu's head, similar to a hoodie. A Swipin' Stu's skin is slightly darker than that of a normal Strollin' Stu. Swipin' Stus attack when Mario walks beneath them, attempting to land on him. If a Swipin' Stu lands successfully, it steals his cap and sprouts a mustache similar to Mario's. Mario can retrieve his cap by either ground-pounding the Swipin' Stu or reentering Pinna Park. Swipin' Stus drop five coins when defeated.
Originally, Swipin' Stus with feet and no wings were intended to appear during the boss fight with King Boo.[6] However, this was removed from the final game.
