The Gold Leaf Galaxy is a galaxy in Super Mario Galaxy. The galaxy greatly resembles, and is basically a mirror of, the Honeyhive Galaxy, with even the exact same music, though it has an autumn environment and some changes such as the disappearance of a cave behind the waterfall and several more planets. Also, the watch tower is now an observatory and is found in another place. Cataquacks can be found here. This is one of the three bee-themed galaxies, the other two being the Honeyhive Galaxy and Honeyclimb Galaxy.

This planet is almost identical to the Honeyhive Galaxy's main planet but with a few differences. The planet is also always in fall (or autumn). In the first mission there are five Blue Star chips scattered across the planet that Mario must find. Thankfully, Mario is given hints by the Star Bunnies as to where the star chips are. In the second mission, lots of blue Cataquacks that are owned by the Bees cover the starting planet. In the third mission there is a huge tower called the observation deck. The tower is taken over by an Undergrunt in a bubble cannon called the Undergrunt Gunner.

The Reverse Kingdom Planet is almost identical to the main planet of the Honeyhive Galaxy, but it contains some differences. The most notable of these changes include:
* The planet now shares an autumn theme, and is flipped relative to the original planet.
* The cave behind the waterfall no longer exists, as well as the platforming section on the backside of the planet.
* The large bunches of trees that cast shade on the upper lake of the original planet that later carried the watchtower are no longer present.
* The hill with a hole that boulders exited from has had its top half cut off.
To the left of the starting area, there are Star Bits that form the letter "L", most likely referring to Luigi, and to the right, the Star Bits form the letter "M", most likely referring to Mario. The planet also contains leaf piles that release a coin or three Star Bits when the player Spins them. A ? Coin can be found under the planet, and when it is collected, it transforms into a Sling Star and a line of coins that lead to a Warp Pipe at the top of the waterfall. The player can also obtain a 1-Up Mushroom at the top of the skinny tree on the structure housing boulders.

*This galaxy is almost the exact mirror opposite of the Honeyhive Galaxy, the only difference being that this galaxy features a fall environment on the main planet, as well as a few minor changes to the surrounding planets (in some cases, different planets were featured altogether).
*On the top of the Starting Planet (where a warp pipe and waterfall starts), if one goes into first person view on the left, a 1-Up Mushroom is on top of a tree. It is believed by some to be impossible to retrieve without hacking. However, there are actually two ways of getting it. The first is to fly to the very top of the level, stand on the wall surrounding the lake, and carefully fly over to the nearest branch of the tree holding the 1-Up Mushroom. From there, the player should fly to the next branch up, and finally to the top of the tree. The second method is to fly to the top of the tree next to the little fountain, just off to the side of the top of the level, and carefully fly to the nearest branch of the 1-Up's tree from there. This second method seems deliberate, as the tree next to the fountain can be safely walked on, but its equivalent in the Honeyhive Galaxy cannot - Mario or Luigi will just slip off.

The Gold Leaf Galaxy is a galaxy in Super Mario Galaxy that can be accessed from the Engine Room. The galaxy is an autumn version of Honeyhive Galaxy, with the galaxy's file name even being titled "ReverseKingdomGalaxy", and it even shares the music from that galaxy, though it has some changes, such as the removal of the cave behind the waterfall and the planet being mirrored.

This is one of the three bee-themed galaxies in the game, the other two being the Honeyhive Galaxy and Honeyclimb Galaxy, though it is the only bee-themed galaxy to not have "honey" in the name.

Planets/Areas[edit]

Reverse Kingdom Planet[edit]

Mario landing on the Reverse Kingdom Planet
Mario flying to the Gold Leaf Galaxy
Mario flying to the Reverse Kingdom Planet

The Reverse Kingdom Planet[1] is almost identical to the main planet of the Honeyhive Galaxy, but it contains some differences. The most notable of these changes include:

 • The planet now shares an autumn theme, and is flipped relative to the original planet.
 • The cave behind the waterfall no longer exists, as well as the platforming section on the backside of the planet.
 • The large bunches of trees that cast shade on the upper lake of the original planet that later carried the watchtower are no longer present.
 • The hill with a hole that boulders exited from has had its top half cut off.

In the first mission "Star Bunnies on the Hunt", five Blue Star Chips scattered across the planet which must be found by Mario, who is given hints to their locations by the Star Bunnies. In the second mission "Cataquack to the Skies", many blue Cataquacks that are owned by the Honeybees cover the starting planet. In the third mission "When It Rains, It Pours", an observation deck appears on the planet. The observation deck is taken over by the Undergrunt Gunner, which is an Undergrunt in a bubble cannon.

Bump Appear Planet[edit]

The Bump Appear Planet[2] is a big wooden planet with several water pools with grates over them. A switch can be found on this planet, which moves the grates and makes wooden pegs pop out of the ground. Sliding blocks appear on the planet. These blocks can slide around and appear to be transparent.

Poihana Relay Planet[edit]

Mario on the Poihana Relay Planet

The Poihana Relay Planet[3] is a small wooden planet with a small pool, two Wigglers, and a Cataquack. By causing the Cataquack to stand on its symbol, Mario can be launched up to the next planet.

Poihana Maze Planet[edit]

Mario on the Poihana Maze Planet

The Poihana Maze Planet[4] is a small planet that has a resemblance to the Puzzle Cube from the Gusty Garden Galaxy. It features a maze with many crates. Similary to the Poihana Relay Planet, Mario must lead the Cataquack on the planet through the maze to get it to stand on its designated symbol. The Cataquack can then launch Mario up to the next planet.

M Shape Relay Planet[edit]

Mario on the M Shape Relay Planet

The M Shape Relay Planet[5] is a line shaped like a "M" that contains three Cataquacks. Like the previous planets, Mario must lure one of the Cataquacks to stand on the end of the planet, which allows it to launch Mario up to reach the next planet.

Flower Planet[edit]

Mario on the Flower Planet

The Flower Planet[6] is a big round planet with a grass, dirt, and pool area and a floating flowers. There are also two tall towers, with one sharing a close resemblance to a Jenga tower. A Power Star can be located at the end of the floating garden. The Flower Planet is stated to be the Cataquacks' place of origin.[7]
