Mario starts in a giant sand platform with a tall tower in the center. In the sides, Mario will face [[Sandmaargh]]s and [[Pokey]]s. There are also a [[P-Switch]] that creates a very long trail of [[Rainbow Note]]s and an elevatec area with a [[Cannon]] that he can use to reach on the tower's door, that is guarded by a [[Thwomp]], a Wallop and a Blokkablok. Mario can also enter in the tower by a door in the right side, by grabbing a [[Propeller Box]] and flying above some [[Used Block]]s and dodging a Fake Block. Inside the tower, there is a narrow path with two Thwomps, a Blokkablock and more Pokeys in a quicksand pool. A {{conjecturaltext|Warp Box}} will warp Mario to the next story, that contains a door. Entering in it, Mario go to an outdoors area, with moving platforms that lead to the third story. In this story, Mario will find lines of Wallops. In the end, another Thwomp is found and near is a door. Entering in this door, Mario can arrive in the top of the tower, that is a grassy area with the [[Goal Pole]].

World 3 is the third world in Super Mario 3D Land. It takes place in a cyan meadow with clouds and hills in the background. World 3 contains six levels and a Blue Toad House. Inside it, Mario can view an Album and save pictures from it.
