Lava or Leave 'Em is a 4-Player minigame in Mario Party 8.
Overview[edit]
A volcano erupts as the player characters are walking in a field, then they rush to jump onto a nearby rock, which becomes surrounded by lava.
A Lava Bubble falls on the rock when the minigame starts, and players try to avoid it. The Lava Bubble divides into smaller entities repeatedly as the minigame progresses. If a player is jumped on, they are incapacitated briefly. Any players who touch the lava or Lava Bubble are disqualified. Either the last player remaining or any player remaining when time is up wins, though if all players are eliminated, it is a tie.
The ending shows the winning players do their victory poses on the burnt field.
