History
Donkey Kong Country 3: Dixie Kong's Double Trouble
During the events of Donkey Kong Country 3: Dixie Kong's Double Trouble Kobbles can be easily defeated by any type of attack, and although they look somewhat strongly built, they are not a real threat. Despite being the generic soldier-type, Kobbles were very uncommon in the game (they only appeared in the levels, Lakeside Limbo, Kreeping Klasps, and Tidal Trouble).
Donkey Kong Land III
Donkey Kong Land III
In this game Kobbles behaved identically to the way they did in Donkey Kong Country 3: Dixie Kong's Double Trouble, although in this game they were a far more common enemy, and due to limitations were black and white and made a slight drone noise when defeated instead of the regular Kremling cry of defeat.

In the remake of the original Donkey Kong Country 3: Dixie Kong's Double Trouble Kobbles return and play the exact same role, they however now have a different voice when defeated is a more high-pitched and whiny one, which it shares with the Kritters and Klomps of the GBA remakes. Oddly, at the end a Kobble is seen in Dixie Kong's Photo Album in a Mill despite never appearing in one in the game.

Trivia
*According to the game's credits, Kobbles belong to the "Kremling Kreeps" enemy class.
*Unlike their Kritter cousins, Kobbles do not wear clothing of any kind (except for the ring that pierces their lower lips)
*Skidda, another member of the Kremlings, bears an exact resemblance to Kobble, being pink and resides in snowy areas though.

Kobbles are enemies introduced in Donkey Kong Country 3: Dixie Kong's Double Trouble! and returning in Donkey Kong Land III, appearing especially in more levels in the latter. Kobbles have a green body, a light green underbelly, and a lip piercing. They walk back and forth repeatedly, and can be defeated from any of Dixie Kong's and Kiddy Kong's attacks. Kobbles are part of the category "Kremling Kreeps."[1] Kobbles have a purple counterpart named Skidda, found in some of the snow levels.

In the remake of Donkey Kong Country 3, Kobbles make a higher-pitched voice when defeated,[2] similarly to Kritters in the remake of Donkey Kong Country[3] and Klomps in the remake of Donkey Kong Country 2.[4]
