Boo-ting Gallery is a 2-vs.-2 minigame found in Mario Party 8 and Mario Party Fushigi no Korokoro Catcher. It is based on the game Luigi's Mansion and takes place in a similar area.
Overview[edit]
In the introduction, one duo runs up a path leading to the gate of a haunted mansion with some Red Boos outside. The Red Boos vanish as the screen splits in two to accommodate both teams, and the game begins.
The two teams compete to shoot and defeat all the Red Boos in and around the mansion. The first stage takes place outside, with the second taking place in the foyer. After clearing the foyer, the team players walk toward the stairs, only for the floor beneath them to give way and drop them into the basement, where a big Red Boo resides. The first team to defeat the big Red Boo wins. If neither team does so within a certain time limit, a tie occurs. This minigame's progression style (including the presence of a large boss-like enemy at the end) is reminiscent to that of Spider Stomp from Mario Party 7.
In the ending, the winning duo exits the mansion and celebrates, while the losing duo's silhouettes can be seen inside the mansion through the windows running as they are chased around the mansion by a Red Boo.
