Gold Fire Piranha Plants are enemies in New Super Mario Bros. 2. They are Fire Piranha Plants under the effects of a Gold Ring. They behave in the same way as ordinary Fire Piranha Plants, however, when defeated, grant more coins and release coins from the pipes where they are in. Gold Fire Piranha Plants appear in one level in the entire game, World 6-2.
