The four players will be on snowboards, behind the gate, ready to go.
The opening shows the player characters preparing as an audience of [[Goomba]]s cheer them on.


==Gameplay==
Players race down a hill on snowboards, turning the [[Wii#Wii Remote|Wii Remote]] to steer, while avoiding obstacles like [[Mr. Blizzard]]s. Players can get a boost off of a ramp by pressing {{button|wii|A}} or {{button|wii|B}} and turning. The player who reaches the end first wins, but if all four players end at once or nobody wins by five minutes, it is a tie.
The objective is to get down the hill first. The player controls himself by turning the [[Wii Remote]]. On ramps, if the player presses the A button and turn, then when they land, will get a boost of speed. There are obstacles along the way, such as [[Mr. Blizzard]]s, that can get in the way while going down.

Alpine Assault is a 4-Player minigame in Mario Party 8.

Overview[edit]

The opening shows the player characters preparing as an audience of Goombas cheer them on.

Players race down a hill on snowboards, turning the Wii Remote to steer, while avoiding obstacles like Mr. Blizzards. Players can get a boost off of a ramp by pressing A Button or B Button and turning. The player who reaches the end first wins, but if all four players end at once or nobody wins by five minutes, it is a tie.
