==Gameplay==
==Overview==
The objective is to get down the hill first. The player controls themselves by turning the [[Wii#Wii Remote|Wii Remote]]. On ramps, if the player presses {{button|wii|A}} or {{button|wii|B}} and turns, they get a boost of speed when they land. There are obstacles along the way, such as [[Mr. Blizzard]]s, that can get in the way while the player goes down. The player who crosses the finish line first wins. If all four players cross the finish line at the same time or if five minutes pass, the minigame ends in a tie.

All four players are at the bottom, the winner standing slightly in front of the others, with their boards standing in the snow. The winner does their victory dance, while the losers sulk. If the minigame ends in a tie, the players will be lined up by player order. The characters face the screen and perform their losing animations.

The player who reaches the end first wins, but if all four players end at once or nobody wins by five minutes, it is a tie.

Test for the Best features Alpine Assault as a single-player minigame, with the goal being to reach the end in the quickest time. These times are required to earn a certain point total:
