Gun the Runner is a 1-vs.-3 minigame in Mario Party 8.
Overview[edit]
In the opening, a battle helicopter named the Bullet Blitzer flies in front of a construction site and opens to reveal the team players. They raise their guns as the the solo player, who is the runner, is shown at the bottom of the site.
The runner must jump up platforms to get to the top of a large tower. They use stationary platforms and a few elevators along the way. If the runner makes it to the top in 30 seconds, they win the minigame.
The team of three try to shoot the runner to stop them. Every time they shoot a ball, they must wait a second to reload. If a ball is shot at a runner, they stop moving for three seconds. The team can win by stopping the runner from making it on time.
If the solo player wins in the end, they celebrate as the Bullet Blitzer closes and flies off with the team players, who are sad for losing.
