Test for the Best has a single-player variety where points are earned through the same means while avoiding the Bowser goals. The scores necessary to earn a certain point total are as follows:

C | 700 | 440 points | Surfin' Sophomore |
D | 600 | 320 points | Surfin' Neophyte |
F | 0 | N/A | Wipeout Kid |
In the ending, the winning and losing players do their respective animations as the former launches off-screen, but in the case of a tie, both do their losing animations.

- If one of the veteran playable characters wins, they will perform one of their secondary victory animations from the GameCube-era Mario Party games (with Mario's and Luigi's being slightly different) instead of the new ones they received in this game. Blooper and Hammer Bro will perform their own new secondary victory animations as opposed to their normal ones. This is also the case in Thrash 'n' Crash.
