Flip the Chimp is a 4-Player and Duel minigame that is found in Mario Party 8.
Gameplay[edit]
The beginning of the minigame demonstrates a brief sequence of a coconut falling and hitting a climbing mechanical Ukiki.
To play the minigame, players must hold the Wii Remote in a vertical position. While the Ukiki climbs the tree automatically, coconuts fall at either the left or the right side of the tree. The players must avoid them by shaking the controller to flip their Ukikis to the other side of the trees; flipping briefly stops the Ukiki. If a coconut hits a Ukiki's head, he slides down, wasting some time to reach the finish line. The player who has their Ukiki reach the finish line first wins.
It is possible to have multiple players win this minigame, and it is possible to tie in the Duel variant. If five minutes pass, the minigame ends in a tie.
