Spiders are large, black arachnids with red legs in The Super Mario Bros. Super Show! Their face bears a strong resemblance to a Snifit's gas mask, although they do not demonstrate the ability to spit bullets. They, however, make chirping sounds.
In the spiders' sole appearance in the episode "Count Koopula", Mario, Luigi, Toad and Princess Toadstool, after jumping down a laundry chute and being deposited in Count Koopula's basement, find themselves menaced by them.
