Ball Beamers[1][2] are mechanical enemies with nuts on top of them that appear in Super Mario Galaxy. One in the Buoy Base Galaxy has a gold screw through its nut. Ball Beamers appear on opposite sides of spherical planets in the Buoy Base Galaxy and Deep Dark Galaxy. They are immobile enemies that discharge circular shockwaves that travel around the circumference of the planet, damaging Mario or Luigi if he touches them. The bolted Ball Beamer can be unscrewed by Mario or Luigi, which opens the inside of the planet he is stationed on, while the other ones are unable to be damaged by normal means.
