Blazing Lassos is a Duel minigame in Mario Party 8. The name is a pun on the title of the video game Blazing Lazers, and it may also be a reference to the satirical Western film, Blazing Saddles.
Introduction[edit]
The first player throws a lasso and yanks back a barrel before the game starts.
Gameplay[edit]
Each player must use a lasso to reel in barrels from the spinning wheel, adding the numbers marked on them to their score; the numbers are 5, 10, 30, and 50. A player must twirl their lasso enough to make it glow so they can throw it. The player with more points after 20 seconds wins. The game ends in a tie if both players' scores are the same.
Ending[edit]
The winner celebrates as the loser sits on the wheel, dazed. Both players do their losing animations if a tie occurs.
