During the minigame, teams [[Ground Pound]] pairs of face-down cards, collecting them if the cards match.
The minigame features 18 facedown cards, which the teams must [[Ground Pound|ground-pound]] to flip them and find pairs. If a team finds two matching cards, that team collects them. The cards show pictures of a [[Green Shell]], a red [[Koopa Paratroopa|Paratroopa]] shell, a green-spotted [[Yoshi's Egg]], a pink-spotted [[Birdo's Egg]], a [[Cheep Cheep]], a [[Lakitu's Cloud]], a [[Fire Flower]], a [[Buzzy Beetle]], and a [[Mushroom]]. The team that gets four pairs of matching cards first is the winner. Memory Mash is a 2-vs.-2 minigame in Mario Party DS. Its name is a pun on "memory match."

Gameplay[edit]
