Secret Course 5[1] is the second secret level of the Pumpkin Zone in Super Mario Land 2: 6 Golden Coins. To unlock this level, the player must find the secret exit in Pumpkin Zone Level 3. Once this level is cleared, Boos appear over the gravestones on the map. The level heavily features Mushroom Platforms, and is the only level in the game to feature them with their typical design.
Layout
There are ten extra lives the player can earn in this level. First, there is a ? Block containing a Fire Flower. Then there are three stacks of fiery blocks Mario can break to get three 1-Ups. There are few enemies which appear throughout this course, including Goombas and Koopa Troopas. Up next are three rows of fiery blocks where two more extra lives can be found. Mario must then make it across falling platforms, with a ? Block which contains another Fire Flower nearby.
There is then a long row of fiery blocks with Goombas on it. There are three extra lives here which can be found in the seventh, twentieth, and twenty-seventh blocks. After that is an enclosed area where a 1-Up Heart can be found inside a ? Block. There is then one last 1-Up Heart inside a ? Block, followed by the door Mario must enter to complete the level.
