A Green Ring in New Super Mario Bros. U
First appearance New Super Mario Bros. U (2012)
Latest appearance Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope (2022)

Green Rings[1] are objects in New Super Mario Bros. U, New Super Luigi U, and its Nintendo Switch port. When the player jumps through one, Green Coins appear rotating in five groups of three, with one group appearing at a time and the next appearing after all coins in the previous group have been collected. The coins disappear in three seconds if the player does not collect them. If the player does, the countdown resets in the next group. Green Rings serve the same purpose as Red Rings, which generate Red Coins. When all the Green Coins have been collected, the player receives a power-up or a 1-Up Mushroom.

Green Rings appear in Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope, in which they have the same function, although the rewards are a Planet Coin and a treasure chest containing coins. There is one on all planets.
