Rentamaguma (described as "fireballs"[1][2] or "spheres of lava"[3] by Prima Games) are comet-like fire enemies that appear in Donkey Kong Country Returns and its Nintendo 3DS version. They are red ball-like enemies with a tail of fire, as well as a variant of another fire enemy, Char-Chars. They are much bigger than Char-Chars. Rentamaguma appear in the Volcano level Furious Fire, as well as the port-exclusive Cloud level Lavawheel Volcano. In this level, they roam around, trying to harm Donkey Kong. Rentamaguma cannot be defeated by any attack method, including jumping and throwing barrels.
